RTTN: US Dollar At 2-day High Against Euro; Bernanke's Testimony In Focus
(RTTNews) - Bouncing back from yesterday's new multi-week low, the greenback advanced against the euro in early New York trading on Wednesday. The dollar climbed to a 2-day high of 1.4158 against the euro around 9:30 am ET and the pair is presently quoted at 1.4185.
The greenback showed weakness against other majors. As of now, the dollar is quoted at 1.0693 against the franc, 93.57 versus the yen and 1.6393 per pound.
The Fed chief Ben Bernanke is scheduled to deliver his second day of testimony before the Senate Banking Committee at 10:00 AM ET.
The US house price index for May is due out at the same time. Analysts expect the index to drop 0.2 percent in the month.
