TORONTO, July 22 (Reuters) - Toronto's main stock index fell 1 percent shortly after the open on Wednesday as sliding oil and metal prices weighed on the resource-heavy index.
The S&P/TSX composite index dropped 104.75 points, or 1 percent, to 10,410.57. Seven of the TSX's 10 subindexes were lower, led by a 2.11 percent drop in the energy group.
