RTRS: Euro rises vs dollar after US weekly jobless claims
NEW YORK, July 23 (Reuters) - The euro extended gains against the dollar on Thursday after data on U.S. jobless claims in the latest week came in broadly in line with expectations.
The euro rose as high as $1.4232 EUR= after the report and was last at $1.4225, up 0.1 percent on the day. Against the yen, the dollar held gains, rising 0.8 percent to 94.38 yen JPY=.
