The NYSE Arca Oil Index (XOI 942.63, +5.84, +0.62%) rose 0.4% to 940. The NYSE Arca Natural Gas Index (XNG 437.43, +4.37, +1.01%) rose 0.7% to 436. The Philadelphia Oil Service Index (OSX 167.78, +1.06, +0.64%) rose 0.5% to 167. Occidental Petroleum (OXY 70.38, +0.39, +0.56%) rose 28 cents to $70.27. Diamond Offshore (DO 87.32, -0.58, -0.66%) fell 1.3% to $86.68 after its earnings update. Noble Corp. (NE 32.61, +0.68, +2.12%) rose 1% to $32.24.
