KUALA LUMPUR, July 24 (Bernama) -- The ringgit ended firmer against the US dollar Friday on buying activities, dealers said.
At 5 pm, the ringgit strengthened at 3.5300/5340 comapred with Thursday's closing of 3.5380/5420.
They said the local unit moved in tandem with regional currencies, although in a more tighter range.
In late trading Friday, the local currency was also higher against other major currencies.
It rose against the Singapore dollar at 2.4495/4547 from 2.4558/4609 yesterday and gained against the yen at 3.7213/7271 from 3.7483/7533 previously.
The local unit also increased against the euro to 5.0161/0229 from 5.0349/0413 and was up against the British pound at 5.8044/8117 from 5.8476/8563 previously.
