NEW YORK (MarketWatch) -- Energy stocks rose on Wednesday ahead of the lastest weekly petroleum inventory data from the Energy Information Administration. The NYSE Arca Oil Index rose 0.7% to 1,087. The NYSE Arca Natural Gas Index (XNG 554.29, +2.97, +0.54%) rose 0.5% to 554. The Philadelphia Oil Service Index (OSX 215.16, +1.42, +0.66%) rose 0.6% to 215. The weekly supply data is due out at 10:30 a.m Eastern Time.
