Copper futures fall
NEW DELHI: Copper futures prices dropped by Rs 1.85 or 0.52 per cent to Rs 348.80 per kg on Tuesday as traders booked profits amid weak trend in the overseas market.
At the Multi Commodity Exchange counter, April contract eased by Rs 1.85 or 0.52 per cent to Rs 348.80 per kg with a business volume of 4,694 lots. It had ended 2.86 per cent higher at Rs 350.65 per kg on Monday.
The metal for delivery in June also shed Rs 1.80 or 0.51 per cent to Rs 350.35 per kg in a turnover of 508 lots.
Market analysts said offloading of positions by speculators to book profits at higher prices and weak trend in the overseas market led to fall in futures prices. — PTI
