SAN FRANCISCO (MarketWatch) -- Natural gas futures turned higher Thursday after the U.S. Energy Information Administration reported a lower-than-expected rise of natural gas in storage. The EIA reported a net increase of 12 billion cubic feet for the week ended March 26, while analysts surveyed by Platts expected a net injection of 14 to 18 billion cubic feet to natural gas storage. Prices shot up on the news, and natural gas for May delivery rose 19 cents, or 4.5%, to $4.07 per million British thermal units.
