The dollar is holding steady against the euro, strengthened by European leaders' agreement on possible loans for Greece.
The 16-nation currency bought $1.3583 on Tuesday, almost unchanged from the $1.3589 it bought in New York overnight.
On Monday, the euro drove the dollar down to its lowest point in a month, bolstered by its European partners' pledge to make $40.5 billion in loans available to Greece this year if needed.
In other currencies the British pound rose to $1.5394 from $1.5378. The dollar bought 93.04 Japanese yen, down from 93.24 yen.
