RTTN: Gold Steady Around $1,140 Amid A Mixed Dollar
(RTTNews) - The price of gold was little changed Friday morning amid a mixed dollar.
Gold for June delivery was down $1.90 to $1,141 an ounce. Thursday, gold recovered after dipping to a low of 1,132 intraday.
Meanwhile, the U.S. dollar was leveling off from its multi-month high versus the euro, after Greece said it will opt for bailout loans from the euro zone and the IMF. The greenback continued to tick higher against the Sterling for a second session.
Elsewhere, the price of silver was edging down and platinum was retreating from its 2-year high in morning deals.
