RTRS: Platinum rises 3 pct as wider markets steady
LONDON (Reuters) - Platinum prices rose 3 percent in Europe on Thursday after dropping to a five-week low in the previous session, with lower prices tempting fund buyers back to the metal as other markets like equities and oil steadied.
Spot platinum hit a peak of $1,674 and was bid at $1,671 an ounce at 1002 GMT, against $1,625 late in New York on Wednesday.
