ET: Gold breaches Rs 19,000 mark on overseas leads
MUMBAI: India gold futures reversed their early losses on Tuesday afternoon to continue their record-breaking spree and breached the Rs 19,000 mark tailing overseas leads.
Gold futures on the Multi Commodity Exchange (MCX) hit a record high of Rs 19,041 per 10 grams, before trading at Rs 19,022, up 0.32 percent at 1:45 p.m.
The contract had gained 0.9 percent in the previous session. The contract breached the previous record of Rs 18,990 struck late on Monday.
