Green Energy Centres in Ferndown and Christchurch has received a Gold Green Apple Award for Retail Outlets.
Managing director Danny Godfrey was presented with the award by Crossroads star Carol Royle during a ceremony at the Tower of London.
“We now have to visit the Houses of Parliament in November to collect the International Green Hero Award and our name will then be forwarded for consideration to represent the UK in Europe,” Mr Godfrey said.
The award is in recognition of projects that Green Energy Centres has carried out to enhance the environment.
The company, which was established last year (2009), claims to be “a completely new concept in respect of energy efficiency and renewables”.
