LONDON (MarketWatch) -- The European single currency extended its rebound versus the U.S. dollar to temporarily push above the $1.30 level in midday London trade Friday. The euro (CUR_EURUSD 1.2998, +0.0070, +0.5415%) hit a daily high at $1.3005 and changed hands in recent action at $1.2994. The euro last traded above $1.30 on May 10.
