(RTTNews) - During New York mid-day trading, the Japanese yen traded higher against major currencies. At around 11:00 am ET, the yen climbed to 82.31 against the Swiss franc, 112.35 versus the euro, 131.84 against the British pound from previous session's lows of 83.16, 113.07 and 133.49, respectively.
Against its US counterpart, the yen also edged up in today's mid-morning trading and hit a high of 86.65 by about 11:20 am ET from European session's low of 87.23.
As of now, the Japanese currency is trading near 82.50 against the franc, 112.51 versus the euro, 86.79 against the greenback and 132.14 versus the pound.
