Shares in South African major gold miners drop more than 1 percent as the price of the yellow metal hovers at its weakest level since late May, traders say.
The JSE gold mining index is down 1.35 percent with DRDGOLD taking the most points off the index, falling 3.12 percent to 3.11 rand.
"Gold is not doing much after last night's (drop) so there's not much of a reason for the guys to throw money into gold shares," one Johannesburg trader says. - Reuters
