LONDON (MarketWatch) -- European shares ended mostly higher on Friday with the German DAX index up 0.5% at 6,170.26, the French CAC-40 index up 0.3% at 3,611.62 and the U.K. FTSE 100 index down 0.1% to 5,309.65. Shares took early reports of stress test results in their stride, with banks flat on the day and 4.5% higher on the week. Helping the advance, Vodafone Group (UK:VOD 150.80, +1.75, +1.17%) (VOD 23.30, +0.52, +2.28%) ended the day up 1% after posting higher quarterly revenue, while Adidas shares gained 2.2%.
