RTRS: Europe Distillates-Diesel supported by oil majors
 
LONDON July 23 (Reuters) - Differentials on large diesel
cargoes were supported by active bids by majors and a wholesaler
across Europe on Friday as summer holiday driving demand
typically peaks in late July and August.

DIESEL
* BP and UK wholesaler Greenergy bid actively this week. BP
bought the French spec from Litasco at a $18 premium a tonne cif
NWE to August ICE gas oil futures.
* Greenergy bought the UK spec from Glencore at the
benchmark plus $21.
* In the Mediterranean, Total bought the French spec at the
benchmark plus $17.50 a tonne cif. BP and Shell placed bids
around $15 premiums.
* Barges traded at $8.50/$10 premiums a tonne fob ARA.

GAS OIL
* A cargo was bit at a $5 premium a tonne cif in the
Mediterranean.
* Barges were around $6 discounts at tonne fob ARA.
* August ICE gas oil futures fell $1 to $652.25 a tonne by
1625 GMT.
* The contango between August and September was around $5.75
a tonne LGO-1=R. The prompt crack eased to $11.05 a barrel.
* The crack has fallen from around $13.50 a barrel in late
June due to an increase in supplies from refineries following
the completion of most of the planned maintenance work.

* ICE Brent crude LCOc1 fell 62 cents to $77.20 a barrel.

JET FUEL
* No barges or cargoes traded.
* Swaps were flat at the front end of the curve benchmark
plus $53 a tonne cif NWE for August and September.

FUEL OIL
* Barges of high-sulphur fuel oil (HSFO) was little changed
at $432.50-$432.50 a tonne fob ARA. Low sulphur fuel was at
$473-$475.
* HSFO's crack to Brent firmed by about 45 cents to minus
$9.15 a barrel.
