SAN FRANCISCO (MarketWatch) -- Canadian stocks fell slightly Wednesday as energy stocks traded mostly lower and crude-oil futures deepened their prior-session drop. The S&P/TSX Composite Index (CA:$ISPTX 11,686, -30.59, -0.26%) lost 22 points, or 0.2%, to 11,695. Shares of Husky Energy Inc. (CA:HSE 25.00, -1.39, -5.27%) were off 5.5% after the integrated oil and gas company reported a 38% drop in second-quarter profit early Wednesday. BlackBerry-maker Research in Motion (CA:RIM 56.87, +1.72, +3.12%) (RIMM 54.87, +1.69, +3.18%) bucked the downward trend, its shares up 3% in both Toronto and New York.
