MW: Nat gas dips after report but recoup some losses

By Claudia Assis
SAN FRANCISCO (MarketWatch) -- Natural-gas futures dipped further imediately after a government report showed a slightly higher-than-expected increase in supplies, but they quickly pared losses. The Energy Information Administration reported an increase of 37 billion cubic feet in the nation's storages for the week ended Aug. 6. Analysts surveyed by Platts had expected an increase between 32 to 36 billion cubic feet. Natural gas for September delivery recently traded at $4.30 per million British thermal units, losing 3 cents, or 0.6%, roughly where it was before the report.
