NEW YORK, Aug 13 (Reuters) - The dollar briefly gained versus the euro on Friday after government data showed U.S. retail sales rebounded in July, while consumer prices rose.
The euro fell as low as $1.2785, according to Reuters data, compared with $1.2806 before the data. It was last at $1.2822, flat on the day.
The dollar was down 0.2 percent at 85.79 yen, little changed from 85.77 earlier. (Reporting by Wanfeng Zhou; Editing by Theodore d'Afflisio)
