FXS: Dollar, little changed after US GDP and Jobless Claims
FXstreet.com (Barcelona) - The Dollar has remained virtually unchanged against its major rivals after the release of slightly better than expected US Gross Domestic product and weekly Jobless claims figures.
USD/JPY remained moving right above 83.15, fresh post intervention lows, ticking up about 10 pips after the release of US data, whole the EUR/USD remains trading right above 1.3675 fresh 5-week high. The GBP/USD is trading lower, retreating from session high at 1.5925, testing 1.5800 support zone at the moment of writing.
US GDP has been revised to a 1.7% annual growth in the second quarter, up from the 1.6% previous estimation although well below the 3.7% advance posted in the first quarter. Weekly Jobless claims have declined by 16K in the week of September 24 to 453K, beating market expectations, that called for a 5K decrease.
