MW: Crude oil nears $82 a barrel as dollar softens

NEW YORK (MarketWatch) -- Oil prices edged higher Tuesday, but remained below Monday's two-month highs, as a weaker U.S. dollar underpinned the commodity. And, "continued disruptions at France's largest oil port has added further upside pressure to crude," noted analysts at Action Economics. Crude futures for November delivery added 45 cents to $81.92 a barrel in electronic trade on the New York Mercantile Exchange.
