(RTTNews) - The New Zealand dollar plummeted against major opponents in New York morning deals on Thursday. The kiwi that hit a fresh multi-month high of 0.7594 against the US dollar at about 8:50 am ET, edged down and currently trading near 0.7518.
After showing choppy trading in previous session, the kiwi plunged sharply against its Japanese counterpart at around 9:00 am ET. As of now, the kiwi is trading near a 2-day low of 61.74 from last session's high of 62.61.
The NZ currency also declined against the euro and the Australian dollar in today's North American morning. Currently, the kiwi is worth a 2-day low of 1.8594 against the euro and a 6-day low of 1.3131 versus the Aussie, which may be compared to Wednesday's closing values of 1.8520 and 1.2995, respectively.
