(RTTNews) - The US currency strengthened against its major opponents on Monday morning in New York. The greenback advanced to as high as 1.5901 against the pound and 82.12 versus the yen before holding steady around 11:00 am ET.
The US currency also climbed to 1.3887 against the euro and 0.9666 versus the Swiss franc by this time and both the pairs moved on hold thereafter. At present, the dollar is quoted at 1.5909 against the pound, 0.9651 versus the Swiss franc, 82.10 against the yen and 1.3892 against the euro.
