RTRS: U.S. crude futures slump $2 on dollar strength
NEW YORK Oct 19 (Reuters) - U.S. crude oil futures prices fell more than $2 on Tuesday as the dollar strengthened broadly after China's central bank raised interest rates.
On the New York Mercantile Exchange, November crude CLX0 fell $2.10, or 2.53 percent, to $80.98 a barrel at 9:05 a.m. EDT (1305 GMT), trading from $80.85 to $83.21. (Reporting by Robert Gibbons; Editing by John Picinich)
