Mumbai, Nov 22 (PTI) Moving in line with the equity market the Indian rupee firmed up by 14 paise to 45.15 against the American currency in the morning trade on fresh selling of dollars by banks amidst weak dollar overseas.
At the Interbank Foreign Exchange (Forex) market, the domestic currency resumed slightly higher at 45.24/25 per dollar as against the last weekend''s level of 45.29/30 per dollar and moved up further to 45.15 per dollar before quoting at 45.25/26 per dollar at 1030 hours.
Meanwhile, the Indian benchmark Sensex was up by 128 points or 0.65 per cent at 1030 hours.
