FRX: Crude Oil, Gold Futures Remain Lower After Jobless Claims Data
Crude oil remained lower along with gold futures on Thursday, after the Labor Department reported higher-than-expected rise in the US jobless claims in the latest week.
The jobless claims rose 26,000 to 436,000. However, economists were expecting claims to rise to a seasonally adjusted 429,000.
Crude oil for January delivery dropped $0.25 to $86.50 per barrel. However, Gold for February delivery declined $0.10 to $1,388.20 an ounce.
