BLBG: Euro Declines Against Dollar After Moody's Downgrades Greece Three Grades
The euro declined against the dollar, snapping three days of gains, after Moody’s Investors Service downgraded Greek government debt.
The 17-nation currency fell by 0.2 percent to $1.3966 as of 8:16 a.m. in London, its first decline since March 1. It weakened for a second day against the yen, losing 0.3 percent to 114.82 yen.
Moody’s downgraded Greece’s debt to B1 from Ba1 and assigned it a negative outlook, the company said in a statement today.
