The NZX 50 index fell on Monday, closing 22 points lower at 3361 on turnover of $89 million.
Fletcher Building was down 4 cent to $8.75, Telecom down 6 cents to $1.99 and Contact Energy down 3 cents to $5.94.
Freightways fell 2 cents to $3.10 and Mainfreight 7 cents to $8.75.
Hallenstein Glasson rose 1 cent to $3.63, as did New Zealand Oil and Gas to 93 cents.
Fisher & Paykel Healthcare was up 1 cent to $2.99, as was Sky City Entertainment Group to $3.40.
Fisher and Paykel Appliances slumped 5 cents to 57 cents.
In currency markets the dollar was trading at 73.89 US cents, 73.37 Australian, 46.02 pence, 60.64 yen, and 0.5307 euro. The TWI stands at 65.3.
