LONDON: The dollar fell to a record low against the Swiss franc on Tuesday as investors piled into perceived safe-haven assets and currencies on mounting concerns about Japan's nuclear crisis and spreading radiation.
The dollar fell to as low as 0.9197 francs on trading platform EBS, down 0.4 percent on the day. Euro/Swiss franc was also down more than 1 percent on the day at 1.2772 francs.
