MW: Euro-zone producer prices rise 0.8% in February

LONDON (MarketWatch) -- Producer prices in the euro zone rose 0.8% in February and were up 6.6% compared to the same month last year, the European Union statistics agency Eurostat reported Monday. Economists had forecast a 0.9% monthly rise and a 6.7% year-on-year increase in producer prices. Excluding construction and energy costs, prices saw a 0.6% monthly rise in February and a 4.5% annual rise.
