Mumbai, Apr 7 (PTI) Most of the base metals rallied at the non-ferrous metal market here today on higher stockists demand coupled with strong industrial offtake.
In overseas trade, base metals mostly traded steady ahead of a European Central Bank policy meeting later today.
Nickel rose by Rs 12 per kilo to Rs 1,332 from overnight closing level of Rs 1,320 and tin hardened by Rs 10 per kilo to Rs 1,600 as against Rs 1,590 previously.
Copper armiture firmed up by Rs 4 per kilo to Rs 452 from Rs 448 and copper utensils scrap moved up by Rs 3 per kilo to Rs 427 as compared to Rs 424 yesterday.
Copper cable scrap, copper wire bar and copper sheets cutting, all edged up by Rs 2 per kilo each to Rs 471, Rs 499 and Rs 445 respectively.
Copper scrap heavy inched up by a rupee per kilo to Rs 461.
