RTRS: Gold rises ahead of Fed decision; silver sags
* Gold XAU= rises about 0.3 percent to $1,506.80 an ounce by
1620 GMT, compared with $1,501.20 late in New York on Tuesday,
boosted by a flat dollar, which has succumbed to broad pressure
ahead of a Federal Reserve policy decision and the central
bank's first scheduled news conference.
* Silver XAG= falls 0.6 percent to $45.10 from $45.49
previously. High volatility and another outflow from global ETFs
put pressure on the price.
* Platinum XPT= rises to $1,801.99 an ounce from $1,796.15
the day before, aided by strength across the precious complex.
* Palladium XPD= rises 0.1 percent to $752.50 from $750.33.
