MW: Oil futures edge lower as gasoline futures climb

SAN FRANCISCO (MarketWatch) -- Crude-oil futures edged lower Thursday morning, pulling back after a more than $3 climb in the previous session as concerns over U.S. demand remained, but gasoline futures looked ready to mark a second straight session of gains. June crude CLM11 -0.14% fell 33 cents to $99.77 a barrel on the New York Mercantile Exchange. June gasoline RBM11 +1.10% was up 2.79 cents, or 0.9%, at $2.98 a gallon. Natural gas for June delivery NGM11 -1.67% fell by 7 cents, or 1.6%, to $4.13 per million British thermal units ahead of a U.S. government report on supplies in storage. Analysts at Prestige Economics expect the data to show an increase of 85 billion cubic feet for last week.
