Mumbai, Jun 2 (PTI) Most of the base metals declined at the non-ferrous metal market here today due to hectic stockists selling amid falling trend in London Metal Exchange (LME).
Meanwhile, aluminium prices gained on the back of better offtake from consumer industries.
The industrial metals continued to drift at the LME for the second day on dismal US economic data indicating drop in demand for the metals.
Nickel and tin dropped by Rs 5 per kg to Rs 1,230 and Rs 1,475 from overnight closing level of Rs 1,235 and Rs 1,480.
Copper cable scrap, copper scrap heavy, copper armiture and copper wire bar all fell by Rs 4 per kg each to Rs 460, Rs 453, Rs 444, Rs 488, respectively.
Copper utensils scrap and copper sheet cuttings moved down by Rs 3 per kg each to Rs 420 and Rs 437.
Brass utensils scrap, brass sheet cutting, zinc and lead all edged down by Rs 2 per kg each to Rs 306, Rs 314, Rs 124 and Rs 123.
However, aluminium ingots rose by Rs 6 per kg to Rs 138 and aluminium utensils scrap moved up by Rs 2 per kg to Rs 110.
