SAN FRANCISCO (MarketWatch) -- Natural-gas futures added to their advance, rising 4% after a government supplies report showed a smaller-than-expected increase in inventories in the week ended May 27. Natural gas for July delivery NGN11 +4.06% added 20 cents to $4.82 per million British thermal units; before the data, the contract rose to $4.69 per million Btus. The Department of Energy's Energy Information Administration reported an increase of 83 billion cubic feet for the week. Analysts polled by Platts had expected an increase between 89 and 93 bcf.
