MW: Indian stocks rise as oil dips further

By Nick Godt
MUMBAI (MarketWatch) -- Indian stocks rose on Tuesday, as crude oil futures continued to fall, easing concerns about inflation even as Delhi is expected to allow fuel retail prices to rise. Crude-oil futures, which have slumped below the $100-a-barrel mark on concerns about U.S. economic growth and demand, fell further ahead of an OPEC meeting on Wednesday. The Sensex rose 14.79 points, or 0.1%, to 18,435.70, with shares of Reliance Infrastructure Ltd. IN:500390 +0.90% , up 1.3%, leading the gains. The S&P/CNX Nifty index rose fractionally to 5,532.30.
