Highland Gold Mining (LON:HGM) revealed positive exploration results from two highly prospective projects in the Khabarovsk region of Russia. The Blagodatnoye and Belaya Gora Flanks properties are located close to HGM’s Belaya Gora project. At Blagodatnoye analysis of the drilling indicates a gold-mineralised zone of around 500x400 metres in width, which has so far intersected to a depth of 200 metres. But the prospectivity of the zone remains open in all directions. Meanwhile, at the Belaya Gora Flanks (BGF) project HGM has yielded significant intersects of gold mineralisation which has corroborated the resource potential of the license. “These latest results corroborate the company's plan to enlarge the historically reported resources at these two properties and support the company's commitment of substantially increasing its asset base within its strategic mining hub in the Khabarovsk region,” HGM said. In total US$5.5 million, of HGM's overall US$30 million exploration budget, is earmarked for these two projects. "Highland Gold is committed to maintaining its policy of successfully advancing quality exploration projects to reserve status and continues with its exploration efforts at both the Blagodatnoye and Belaya Gora Flanks properties, each being integral projects for the Company's strategy of organic growth in the region," the company said.
