RTRS:Rupee hits 2-month high on euro gains, Asian peers
(Reuters) - The rupee hit a two-month high in early morning trades on Monday, tracking the euro's gains against the dollar and firm Asian peers, while positive local shares also aided.
* At 9:15 a.m., the partially convertible rupee was at 44.4650/44.4700 per dollar, a level last seen on May 3. On Friday, it had closed at 44.5825/5925.
* The euro rose to a one-month high against the dollar in Asia on Monday while commodity currencies like the Australian dollar held onto last week's hefty gains, as diminishing worries about Greece prompted investors to embrace risk.
* Most Asian currencies were also stronger.
* Sensex was up 0.8 percent.
