The price of oil on the NYMEX commodity exchange was rising Friday morning on reports of low fuel inventory in the United States.
The price of an August futures contract for WTI light sweet crude in electronic trading on Nymex was up 30 cents to $98.97 a barrel by 6:55 Moscow time. The price of an August futures contract for North Sea Brent blend was off 21 cents to $118.38 in London.
The day before, August WTI contracts rose $2.02 cents to $98.67 a barrel, while August Brent contracts jumped $4.97 cents to $118.59.
