SYDNEY (MarketWatch) -- Oil futures snapped a two-day winning streak in electronic trading Thursday, edging lower as the dollar weakened. Light, sweet crude oil for August delivery CL1Q -0.24% lost 34 cents, or 0.4%, to $97.71 a barrel on the New York Mercantile Exchange during Asian trading hours. Crude earlier closed the North American session at $98.05 a barrel.
