KARACHI: Gold price has reached new a height in local markets after the commodity hit a record in international markets, Geo News reported.
In international market, the price of gold increased by 21 dollars to 1621. This affected the rate of gold in the local markets and in Karachi the commodity recorded a rise of Rs400 per tola to set a new record at Rs51800.
In Punjab the gold price advanced by Rs500 per tola to Rs51900.
All Sindh Sarrafa Association President, Haji Haroon Rashid told Geo News that the gold prices making records in the local markets due to the international market record gold price hikes, which he attributed to persistent purchase of gold by China and India.
