AN:Weaker dollar lifts coffee amid US debt jitters
A weaker dollar pushed arabica futures in New York higher in the latest session although the upside was capped by investor jitters over a potential US debt default as well as technical resistance.
The front-month September contract rose 205 points to 244.95 cents/lb in dealings from 242.80 to 247.35 cents. Traders reported that the 200-day moving average around 247.86 cents/lb caused technical resistance.
