MW: Trichet: bond buying program was never dormant

LONDON (MarketWatch) -- European Central Bank President Jean-Claude Trichet said Thursday that the ECB's government bond-buying program had never been dormant and that he wouldn't be surprised to see a move in bond markets even before the end of his press conference, though he didn't directly confirm that the central bank is back in the market buying bonds. "If we intervene, we intervene and you will see what we do," Trichet said. The central bank has not disclosed any government bond purchases since March.
