SAN FRANCISCO (MarketWatch) -- Natural-gas futures declined further on Thursday after the Energy Information Administration reported an increase in supplies of the product. Natural gas for September delivery NG11U -3.08% declined 12 cents, or 3%, to $3.97 per million British thermal units. It had traded around $4.08 before the report. The EIA said inventories rose 44 billion cubic feet in the week ended July 29. Analysts had expected an increase between 32 and 41 billion cubic feet, according to analyst reports.
