CHICAGO (MarketWatch) -- U.S. Silver Corp. said on Friday that it had reached a collective bargaining agreement with its unionized workers,. After talks with members of the United Steelworkers, a deal was made that will last until March 31, 2014. "We are very pleased to have reached an agreement that benefits both the company and its dedicated employees in a competitive way" said Tom Parker, chief executive of U.S. Silver USSIF -8.20% , in the announcement. "Both parties worked long hours to reach this agreement and the company is very grateful for everyone's efforts." Terms of the agreement were not disclosed. Shares were down about 8% in morning action.
