BLBG:Australian, New Zealand Dollars Pare Drops as Asian Stocks Extend Gains
The Australian and New Zealand dollars pared declines against the U.S. currency as Asian stocks extended gains.
The Australian dollar traded at $1.0497 at 12:11 p.m. in Sydney from $1.0507 in New York yesterday after earlier falling as low as $1.0458 following the release of the minutes of the Reserve Bank of Australia’s Aug. 2 policy meeting. The so-called kiwi traded at 83.21 U.S. cents from 83.28 cents, after earlier dropping to 82.89 cents.
