BLBG:Dollar, Yen Gain Versus Euro as Shares Slide, Before Data on U.S. Prices
The dollar and yen gained against most major counterparts as Asian shares extended losses and before data today on U.S. consumer prices.
The U.S. currency climbed to $1.4408 as of 10:25 a.m. in Tokyo from $1.4426 in New York yesterday. The yen climbed to 110.38 from 110.50.
The MSCI Asia Pacific Index declined 0.6 percent.
