(RTTNews) - The Japanese yen that edged lower against its major rivals in early New York deals Wednesday reversed direction after 10:00 am ET.
The yen is presently trading at a new multi-week high of 124.43 against the pound, 12-day high of 76.44 against the US dollar and a 9-day high of 110.07 against the euro.
If the yen strengthens further, it may find resistance levels at 124.0 against the pound, 76.30 against the greenback and 109.50 against the euro.
The Japanese yen also reached as high as 78.17 against the Canadian dollar, 65.29 versus the New Zealand dollar and 81.86 against the Australian dollar before holding steady around 11:00 am ET.
On the upside, the yen may find target levels at 78.0 against the loonie, 65.0 versus the kiwi and 81.70 versus the aussie.
